Pork shoulders are wonderful on the barbecue. They are good value and meaty, but with enough fat to keep the meat moist - and you end up with tasty, crispy yet tender steaks! Try some of our spices as a marinade and you’ll be impressed with the flavours. serves 4
For all the recipes you will need 4 pork shoulder steaks. Mix the ingredients together, spread over the meat and leave in the fridge for a few hours before grilling.
Goan Red steaks
20g ( a heaped tbsp or half a packet) Goan Red blend
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Tandoori steaks
1 carton Tandoori blend
2 large tbsp plain yoghurt
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
Cafreal (this is normally a Goan chicken recipe, but also works with pork)
1 carton Goan Green blend
juice 1 lime
2 tbsp plain yoghurt
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
